Don't assume that your neighbor has heard the Gospel before

The Lord reminded me once again that just because I am in the USA that everyone has heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a wrong assumption and it deserves to be tackled. We must not assume that everyone around us has heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and the bad news that they have offended God by breaking His Laws.

The other evening I was out soulwinning with my brother in Christ, Miguel. We were doing what the disciples did in Acts 5:42 and Acts 20:20. We were knocking on strangers doors and going door-to-door soulwinning. It's an exciting thing to go soulwinning.

Well, we came to one house, a teenage boy answered the door. His father was in the living room playing a video game and I simply started a conversation with the boy, Antonio. Throughout our conversation I learned that he had heard that a man named Jesus died on a cross, but he did not know why Jesus died. So, I showed him different verses that explain how Jesus died on a cross FOR OUR SINS. We talked about this. Then I asked him if he knew what happened after Jesus' death. He said, "No." I then showed him from the Holy Bible that Jesus physically resurrected. We talked about this and the boy thought that was neat. I asked him if he believed this. I loved his answer. He said, "If the Bible says He did, then yes I believe." HALLELUJAH! What faith!

So, we talked some more and looked at other verses and that evening the boy professed Jesus as His personal Savior!

I write this real story to encourage you not to make the erroneous assumption that everyone around us has heard the Gospel. In fact the opposite is true. We no longer live in a "Christian America." Our land is vilely polluted with religions, traditions of men, and lies, and an antichrist spirit even within churches! Therefore, I exhort you to learn the Gospel and go tell the Gospel to people all around you. Jesus just might put you in a person's presence who has never heard the Gospel before. This is our duty as Christians, to go preach the Gospel. And it's a worthy duty!
