Over the last few days two of my mentors at two distinct times told me that I should go back to my previous employer and appeal for my job back. Though, I believe the CEO erroneously terminated my position, God can do anything. I have considered their suggestions and have prayed about it this morning. This morning in my Quiet Time with the Lord Jesus I read Proverbs 21 because today is the 21st day of the month. Verse 1 says, "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases." I am not under a kingship, but as a king is a representative of authority, my formal boss was my authority over me concerning secular employment.
I went back to my employers headquarter's to try to meet up with the CEO. He was just about to leave for a meeting, and I approached him. He was attention in his response to me as I asked if I could meet up with him. He gently replied that I could meet with him tomorrow at 11 a.m.
I asked God today if I was going to get my job back. The Lord did not give me a yes or no. Instead I felt in my heart Him asking, "Would you really go back if I told you 'no"'" Probably, probably not. But whether if I get the job back or not, I believe this will be a valuable lesson for me to learn more courage in life. Courage helps us to be bold in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus to anyone at anytime. And boy I and all of certainly need more courage. So, I thank God for this courage training.
Would you join in with me to beg the Lord to move the CEO's heart and that I may obtain favor from the Lord and of the man? His name is Andrew.
Thank you.
