Christmas Party at the Perry's!

For all you Ohioans who might have been able to drive down to southeastern Ohio, you missed out on a fun Christmas party at the Perry's. Boy, there sure was a lot of good home cooked food. We had steak, chicken, green beans, corn, pies, pies, and pies, cookies, sweets, salad, and so much more. And it was all home made from scraps!

The fellowship of friendships is just wonderful. We played the fun card game PHASE 10. That game is so fun, but when you have a lot of people playing it, it just takes so long to play! But a lot of fun! You can see all the pictures at the following link:

And yes, we had God show up at the Christmas Party. After eating, Pastor Phil opened the Word of God and teached a great message. I was encouraged through the many verses he showed from the Bible about that we should not and do not have to fear. Even from the Christmas story in Luke, God through him showed how we do not have to fear. Fear is no longer an option for Christians. 1 John 4:18 let's us know that. Therefore if fear tries to come into our thoughts, we just need to cast it away. Jesus is love and He lives inside of us believers. Hallelujah! What a freedom that God has come and has provided the remedy for freedom from any type of fear!

So, this evening I thank God so much for bringing Himself into the world to save us from sin, to save us from fear, and to give us the opportunity to have friendship with Him and many other brothers and sisters in Christ.
